The subsequent flight of Virgin Galactic to suborbital space won’t occur in the following days after all. The company will arrange the third crewed trial flight of its VSS Unity spaceplane, which had been plagued to take off from Novel spaceport America in Mexico Spaceport November (19) and November (23), because to roll of COVID-19 contagions sweeping across the countries, the positions and the biosphere.
The CEO of Virgin Galactic (Michael Colglazier) said on Monday (Nov. 16), which with the safety and the health of our team associates in mind, and in agreement with the current direction from the New Mexico Department of Health, we will be reducing our New Mexico acts to the utmost degree possible.
Michael said that while these current limitations cause them to adjust their flight program, they take the break in stride and prepare to continue their preflight actions and announce a new test flight window as soon as they can.
Virgin Galactic’s modern SpaceshipTwo-vehicle, called VSS Unity, carries six-passengers, two pilot craft made to make short jaunts to suborbital space. Space Ship Two takes off from a runway below the wing of a transporter plane known as White Knight Two. At the height of about 50,000 feet (15 000 meters), SpaceshipTwo descents free and creates its way to suborbital space. Unity has been to space two times to now, on test flights in December 2018 and February 2019. All of these duties lifted off from Mojave Air and Space Port in southeastern California, closed to the headquarters of The Spaceship Company, Virgin Galactic’s developing minor.
The forthcoming third spaceflight will be the leading one Unity makes from its profitable operations hub. During the update at the beginning of this month, Colglazier said it will be the first human spaceflight ever done from Mexico.
Around 600 people have purchased a ticket to jaunt SpaceshipTwo, for $250,000 per seat, uttered the virgin galactic agents. The company stopped selling tickets for some time but plans to revive them next year after Virgin Group founder Richard Branson flies aboard VVS Unity.
The Spaceship Company is constructing two more Space Ship Two vehicles, and between them, one is expected to roll out the factory early next year as said by the Virgin Galactic agents. More could come off the line in the comparatively near future; the company’s hangar at Spaceport America can grasp up to five SpaceshipTwo and two White Knight Twos, respectively.
